Joe Eddie on Valley News Live – North Dakota Today

It was a good morning.

I sat down with Tatum and Sophia on Valley News Live’s North Dakota Today on March 31st for a conversation about the April 18th show at the Empire Arts Center Music Box in Grand Forks, the new book No Trees to Hold the Sky, and new music coming this spring.

We ended up talking about Louis L’Amour, recording in New York City, and how I got started playing guitar. Nine minutes went fast.

No Trees to Hold the Sky by Joe Eddie

He tells it all with the precision of a man who knows the difference between what happened and what he can prove. He’s not asking you to believe him. He’s just telling you what he saw.

No Trees to Hold the Sky is a collection of thirteen original short stories from the Northern Plains — roads that don’t curve, rivers that run the wrong way, towns where time moves sideways. Written by Joe Eddie, the Red River Valley songwriter who’s been carrying these stories as long as he’s been carrying songs.

Strange. Quiet. Built to stay with you.

Joe Eddie Interview – Wake Up Hollywood with host Nikhil Korula

Joe Eddie – Wake Up Hollywood with host Nikhil Korula

The hosts of Wake Up Hollywood Nikhil Korula and Eddie Pence have toured across the country, played to some of the biggest crowds around and know all the right questions to ask these new artists that they hand pick for each week’s show. The best part is none of this radio show is scripted and these guys know what it takes to succeed in the industry and have been good friends for years so you can count on leaving the show with a laugh, a good song or a conversation that will make you think.
